Cauldron Chronicles
You are an Alchemist unknowingly at the epicenter of where a cataclysmic event is set to seep into the world. Use your skills to assist, or purposefully sabotage, the passers-by while also holding the corruption at bay. Use a freeform alchemy system to brew potions with any combination of effects, or take your potions out into a world of diverse biomes that simulate the changing of weather and seasons. Relax with some fishing, farming, and exploration, or use your potions to fight monsters, uncover ancient secrets, and solve mystical puzzles.
How you use your potions, and what kind of alchemist you want to be, is up to you!

A Vibrant World
Cauldron Chronicles is an RPG intended for midcore fans of adventure, immersive sims, sandboxes, and role-playing games where choices have a large impact on the world and characters.

Explore different biomes that change with the seasons and weather, and enjoy a variety of activities such as fishing, farming, solving puzzles, discovering secrets, and gaining reputation with factions by completing tasks
Dark and Light
Unique, hand-written, characters are the bread and butter of Cauldron Chronicles. Each has their own history, values, beliefs, and story to unravel.

You will not agree or disagree with every character in the game. They'll have morally and ethically ambiguous stories that you can aid or sabotage, responding differently not just to the potions you provide, but also to what you say

Characters can die, cross paths with each other, or change the course of history for entire kingdoms, all depending on their interactions with you.
One Potion, Many Applications
Your potions are more than just mere liquid for drinking. The continent of Orithia is not always safe, and all manner of creatures and monsters are looking to expand or defend their territory.

Craft explosive concoctions, tinctures that are downright flammable, or deadly poisons. All may prove just as effective for the needs dubious adventurers as they are in battle against a wandering skeleton or fire elemental.

You may also want to take your Aetherlight potions into catacombs to help illuminate hidden pathways, or your Concussive Blast potions to destroy cracked walls, uncovering secrets.
Distractions and Diversions
Cauldron Chronicles offers more than just Alchemy. There will be many dungeons, structures, and points of interest to explore. Some may be occupied by less than friendly individuals, but each area will offer different rewards and present different challenges.

If you're looking for something a bit more relaxing, why not do a little fishing or farming? Growing and catching your own ingredients can help you optimize your potions and enjoy the nature!

Or maybe you're just looking for something to occupy some spare time -- perform tasks for factions to earn reputation with them, opening up new dialogue options...or even entirely new encounters!
Sinister Portent
An evil corruption, not seen in many ages, is returning to the forest, threatening to disrupt the balance of nature.

Find a way to eradicate it before it overtakes your known world, or let it spread a little, empowering the dangers in any biome it spreads to, but also the rewards.
